Each escorted tour has been developed to provide planned activities and time to explore, shop or just relax. We like to think of our trips as "non-tours" tours - really more like a group of friends getting together for a pleasant visit to an area of friendly and hospitable people.

Programs Scheduled for 2009

June 22 - July 06: Each island has it's own beauty and personality. We visit the islands of historic Terceira, the "Blue Island" of Faial, rugged Pico, and Sao Miguel with its beautiful mountains and lakes. In addition, you have the opportunity of selecting another island of your choice - Flores or Sao Jorge.
It is a pleasant 15 day introduction to the beauty and character of each of these islands. You'll enjoy festas and a profusion of blue hydrangeas lining the fields.

Portugal's Treasures

September 1 - 16: We begin our trip arriving in Lisbon, with a two night stay. We spend a half day touring the city, ending with dinner and a Fado Show. We then fly to Maderia for four nights, arriving during Maderia's annual Wine Festival, with a free day enjoying the festivities. We also will have two half-day tours including a Toboggan ride. We then fly to Porto for three nights. The first afternoon we'll enjoy a half day tour of Porto. The next day we take a steam train trip up the Douro Valley for lunch and then return to Porto by boat, passing thru several locks, as we travel down the Douro River. Our last day in Porto we take a Motorcoach tour of the Minho Area. We travel south by Motorcoach, spending a night in the Busaco Forest at the Palace Hotel. Our next night is in Fatima, arriving during the monthly pilgrimage. Our last three days will be in Sintra, where you have a free day to tour the National Palace and the Pena Palace. We will have a half day tour of Cascais and Estoril and our farewell dinner before returning home.
